Uganda will be hosting Africa Climate Week 2020 in Kampala on March 9–13, the first of several regional conferences—in the Asia–Pacific, Latin America and Caribbean, and Middle East and North Africa regions—to address climate change and the Paris Agreement.

The event is set to bring various public and private sector partners together to discuss ways for Africa to implement the Paris Agreement, signed in 2016. Panels will also be held to discuss energy security and access, food and water security, and urban infrastructure and mobility.

Key entities involved will be the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change secretariat, World Bank Group, UN Development Programme, UN Environment Programme, UN Economic Commission for Africa, African Union, and African Development Bank.
